I did this on another one of my forums, but I wanted to do it here too. We spend so much time focusing on TTC and being mothers that I feel like we don't know each other for who we REALLY are, outside from that.
I'll start. I'm Rachael, 22, and will be celebrating my 1 year anniversary to my husband Drew on June 16. We've been together since 2004, though, with one split due to me moving away. He asked me to marry him from Basic back in April 07. We live on Barksdale Air Force Base, in Shreveport, LA with our 2 tabby cats, and our border collie.

This is Bart, he’s a very weird cat, laid back and is way too curious for his own good. He’s about 15 pounds, but it’s not really that he’s fat, more like he’s just a BIG cat. He’s always in your face, and we’ve had guests say that they’d wake up in the middle of the night with him sitting on their chest just staring them in the face literally inches from their nose.

This is Maggie. She’s the most recent addition to the family. She spent her life outdoors so she spooks easily and is pretty much a loner, but when she wants to cuddle she’ll cuddle like crazy and won’t leave you alone.

This is our other cat, Lisa. We shouldn’t pick favorites, but from the day I got her she was my fav. She was Bart’s sister. We rescued them both from a pretty bad home, and when we got them, they had tape worms, ticks, ear mites, and fleas so bad that their bodies were covered in open sores. We nursed them back to health and just when we thought we were in the clear we found out Lisa had a fungus in her blood. In January this year we had to put her down after a seizure left her brain dead.

And this is the queen of the place, Zelda. She was a gift to Drew for graduating Tech School. We almost lost her to Distemper, but by some miracle she survived! She has so much personality and she just makes us laugh all the time.
Well that’s the family I guess on to me. I do in home childcare and I absolutely love it. I always love the children that I watch, it’s the parents that don’t care about their kids that upset me. Besides being a housewife and watching kids, in my spare time I like to cross stitch, do puzzles, read books, mess around online (forums, myspace, or just searching the net for new and cool things), play video games (yes I’m a loser and I’ll admit to it gladly, lol). I also like to go to Garage sales with my friends on Saturday mornings, play pool, darts, and go bowling, I LOVE board games and card games as well. I’m a T shirt and jeans kinda girl, I’m tough when I have to be, but way to emotional on the inside. I’m pretty unique, but I’m a good friend and try to avoid drama at all costs by looking at every situation from both angles.
