So tomorrow is Drew and my first wedding anniversary :) I can't believe we've been married a whole year, time sure does fly! It's crazy to think we're no longer newlyweds.

Things started off rocky as we adjusted to getting married and I fully believe that the first year is the hardest. But the last few months have been absolutely perfect. Yeah we still have our little arguments, but we've learned how to argue without it turning into something huge, just say our peace, apologize, and figure out how to keep it from happening again. Everyday I'm just so thankful to have someone so loving in my life and I just never imagined that'd I'd be this happy, even with all the TTC trouble.

Drew is being moved to the mid shift (11pm-7am) again tonight. I hate it, especially since it's our anniversary, but what can ya do? It did turn out pretty good though because we got to celebrate our anniversary all weekend. We started off yesterday bright and early. We exchanged our gifts then because I had plans for mine, lol. He gave me a beautiful necklace that's a heart with diamond accents:

I gave him a book on home repairs (since he's wanted to learn about fixing things around the house), and I also got him a grill:

It's nothing fancy, I wanted to start with something small since neither of us have ever grilled before and eventually once we know what we want we'll buy something nicer.

We grilled some amazing steaks last night and they turned out great. We almost caught the house on fire, I guess we used too much lighter fluid, lol. Next time we'll move the grill a little further from the house :P We also celebrated with the last bottle of champagne from our wedding. (We didn't keep the top of our cake because we didn't know where we'd end up.)

Tomorrow, our actual anniversary, we're going to go out to eat to Shoguns, a hibachi grill. We were supposed to go for our dating one year back in Sept 05, but it got canceled, so when we found out there was a Shoguns here we knew we had to go.

The other exciting thing that happened this weekend is that my ovulation test yesterday had the darkest line I've ever had. It wasn't a positive at all, or even that close to being one, but I'm lucky if I get a line at all and this one blew me away! Hopefully this means I will ovulate in the next few days (how cool would it be if we conceived on our wedding anniversary?) but even if I don't, just getting that dark of a line just gave me hope that the surgery at least did make some difference!
